My husband and I just spent 3 weeks in Loutraki and found it to be very special. The people are great and the food, beach and surrounding areas were fabulous. It is a great place to relax and just enjoy yourself. We were there prior to tourist season, which started in the middle of June, so it was uncrowded unlike Athens. Would recommend this great little town. --------------------------------------------------------

Back home again after two wonderful weeks i Loutraki. We have been in Greece several times, Loutraki is the best place sofare. We visted ancient Chorinth, Athens Akropolis and the stadium, Mykene, Naphleon and the Epidarius theatre. We even sailed throw the Chorint canal and visited Eigina and Agistri. We made a bustrip to a monastry up in the mountains and then we swimmed in the blue lake. Our hotel Madas is a nice place to stay in and the restaurangs close to the sea served very good food. The best restaurant is at the Mainstreet and is named Faros. We probabaly come back. Thanks for this time. --------------------------------------------------------

I went to Greece about four years ago when I was 16, and I loved it. The country was so interesting, beautiful, and full of great history. I was in Loutraki in the beginning of August. It was very hot but so wonderfull. Loutraki was a lovely place and I will come back some day. My hotel was good(hotel Bakos). Most I loved the beach. The weather was very hot(+39) but the water was refreshing. Athens was only a couple of ours away and I could see all the historical places I've allways wanted. I also went to Mycene, Corinth and Epidauros. All very beautifull places. I will deffinately recommend Loutraki to my friends! --------------------------------------------------------

NOTICE For all the visitors that plan to visit the beautiful city of Loutraki. Visit the beautiful churches and monasteries located around the city of Loutraki. Especially visit the monasteries of Osiou Patapiou and tis Agias Kuriakis located high on the side of Geraneia mountain. Light a candle and then view the spectacular scene of the city. Dancing and fun you will find it anywhere but missing the lifetime opportunity to see great sites is bad..... This web site gives an excellent view of one of the best cities in Greece. However, a visitor does not have to stay in a hotel but there are numerous places that one can rent. This site should expand the "accommodation" section with rentals provided by individual and families. The site should also expand the "city map" section with streets etc. There are numerous good restaurants within the city that a visitor simply can not miss. The national sport in Greece is Soccer and now is Basketball. Loutraki has sports arenas,soccer teams, soccer fields, basketball sites, tennis courts, etc. Unfortunately no golf courses. Therefore, the "sports" section should be expanded so everyone will have a variety of activities on hand during his/her visit. !!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the opportunity to give my comments. The web site is getting better. You have included lots of information we talked about etc. but the "Sports" section still needs work. Why don't you add locations of public places such as Gymnasiums where someone can enjoy a friendly game of basketball. What about location of any public tennis courts and where they located. If none are available then maybe the Loutraki mayor has to get involved so he can allocate some money for that. In addition, somewhere in the site you should list rental places. Somebody may want to rent fishing gear, diving gear, hunting equipment or ....maybe a set of golf clubs to practice his sand wedge shot...in the back yard. Think about it. . ..One more important thing. The soccer stadium in Loutraki is it available for use. Does Olympiakos practices there during the summer months? and if so when. I have couple soccer players in my house that may want to show the Loutrakians how the game is played. If you have any information on this let me know. I am coming home this summer. . I was born and brought up in Loutraki but I left it a few years ago and moved to Northern Europe for studies. I have loved every moment of my life there and cannot wait to come back this Easter. It was a real pleasure to visit this website and bring back all memories. One thing I was surprised and sad for. Parts of Loutraki that are really worth mentioning are missing. What is Loutraki without the old fisherharour or without the parc or without the quarter with the "ouzeri" or even without the thermal baths?? That is what Loutraki is to me... That is what I long for... The oldfashioned Loutraki, the one that makes you feel most welcome and warmth in your heart!!

Hi,my name is Heli and I come from city of Vaasa in Finland. I have greek folkdances as a hobby.Here in Vaasa we have a dancegroup Meltemia and we are about 10-12 women in the group. We all dance greek folkdances, some of us already for 17 years. We love so much greek music, dances, food, culture, people etc. In Vaasa we are lucky to have also two groups playing greek music, Cafe Aman (soloist Vasilis Marros) and Souvlaki Orhistra (soloist Ilias Missyris). Stelios Elliniadis (product manager,International Greek Music & Culture Cooperative Center)has made one special documentseries for greek TV: "The endless journey of hellenism" "To ateleiwto taxidi tou Ellhnismou". It came out last autumn also in satelite and one part of the program told about our city Vaasa and Meltemia and Souvlaki.

I was very happy to find these marvelous internet pages of Loutraki, because Meltemia and Souvlaki Orhistra are coming to Loutraki 22.06.2001 for two weeks. We are planning to perform at least in Xilokastro and maybe in Perahora (we have had some visitors from the schools of both cities and Ilias is from Xilokastro). We would like very much to perform also in Loutraki if possible. So if some restaurant or hotel would like to take us to perform 24.06.-28.06., please contact: [email protected] We are staying in Hotel Bakos (some in Sun and Sea). While staying in Loutraki,we would be happy to see greek dances and listen greek music in life.We all visit Loutraki now first time so we don´t know where to go, so if someone knows good places, please let us get some information. We are really waiting for the summer in beautiful Loutraki!!!
